Why have a camping holiday?

A camping holiday is fantastic fun and gets you closer to the outdoors.

Camp sites across the UK and Europe allow you to pitch a tent and they are often joined with caravan parks where you can drive your touring caravan to and pay for a pitch to enjoy the facilities.

Many companies have a mixed park which mixed statsic caravans, chalets and tents and touring caravans. They're often divided up so you'll be in a part of the park that contains only tents, or caravans as this allows easy access to essential services like showers and washrooms, electricity hookups and other camping extras available.

Camping on a holiday park is quite different to what you'd consider as camping in the wild. In a standard field you'd have to sort out loo facilities, fetch water from a standpipe which could be a long way away, you might not be allowed fires in certain areas and you'd have some restrictions placed on you for access and gaining permission to camp in a farmers field.
By camping at a holiday park site you get all the facilities you could imagine including showers and toilet blocks which make camping so much more pleasant.

If you like the idea of going away and having a relaxing holiday away from all the modern distractions of TV and DVDs and computers then a holiday in a tent can really bring that freedom from modern electronics into your life for a week or so. A tent based holiday means you don't have comfy sofas and fitted kitchens but you're able to feel relaxed and chilled out and one great thing about camping holidays is the low cost.

If you'd like to try camp sites but don't think a tent based holiday is for you then you'll be impressed to know that you can take a touring caravan if you own one or hire a static caravan to enjoy some of the finest locations around the UK and Europe. It's often cheaper to stay at a holiday park than a B&B or hotel and it gives you a great location for less money.

If you'd like the hassle free tent experience then picking somewhere like Eurocamp which gives you a luxury ready set up tent holiday experience is great. The tents have well equipped kitchen areas which have a dining area, open to the outdoors they have agrill and gas hob for cooking, a fridge and cool box for keeping food cold and water carriers. They have electric lights too which make life so much easier!
They have beds too - raised off the ground so you're not sleeping on the hard earth! It's hard to believe it's all available in a tent and they're well maintained too meaning you get a completely stress free camping experience. You'll get a large living area too open to the outside as well as a fantastic holiday park in one of nine european countries. If you're worried about being in europe and not being too hot on the language then don't worry, eurocamp employ english speaking staff to ensure your holiday goes smoothly and they're there on site to help you whenever you need it. To enjoy the outdoors they'll have Sunloungers and parasol as well as charcoal barbqs available to allow you to really enjoy the sunny weather whilst you're on holiday.

When you were a child you might have gone camping with guides or scouts. For many people these were the first ontroduction they had to camping in a tent and were amazingly special holidays where you'd be in a tent with lots of other people. Cooking round a camp fire, fetching water from a stand pipe and being out in the countryside was very special!
